Kherson, hello! Our fourth trip

Medical Cargo and Boxer as Dispatcher.

Everyone is going about their business, and we are taking the medical cargo to where it is most needed. Kherson. This is the fourth time we've done this, so thank you to all of our volunteer readers!

"

Volunteer readers, the Nadia Charitable Foundation, and our American partners help us. And all of us, together with you, helped three more hospitals. And this is important. Everyone has to show their best during the war. You showed yours, isn't that cool?

This time we visited the Second City Clinical Hospital, the City Clinical Hospital named after Athanasius and Olga Tropin, and the Belozersk district hospital (that's near Kherson).

""""

We did not come empty-handed. At the same time, six pallets of humanitarian cargo arrived at once, their list is already usual for this project. Patient monitors, shoe covers, masks and gloves, disposable gowns, and consumables for ventilators. That's a lot of stuff!

"

''

But there was a surprise waiting for us. You know we can't travel without animals, so we also had a load of food with us. It was ordered by local animal volunteers. We'll tell you more about them.

"

One paragraph about the importance of such help. Friends, dear volunteer readers, we thank you very much! Imagine that this help does not exist. So you will understand how important it really is for medics. Let's say we did not go to Kherson. Or we don't have a volunteer staff. Who will bring elementary supplies? Who will find the equipment? Of course, without all of us - no one. Because that sounds boring. And politicians are not interested in such activities.

That's why we keep doing it. Not for the sake of fun boards in elections, but for the sake of people. Because each of us is in Ukraine. Accordingly, sometimes Ukraine needs to be treated, and here our gifts do it.

Let's talk about volunteers. They help abandoned and street animals. Nearby, Russian shells fall all the time. The field of activity is the private sector, which means a minimum of civilization and a maximum of risk.

Remember, we do not drive empty-handed during the war. Everybody needs fodder, so we keep on trucking.

When there was nothing left in the car, we drove back in good company. We drove in Kherson and then stopped in Mykolaiv. There were four-legged passengers waiting for us to evacuate.

This time we didn't spend the night in Kherson. We had to stop in Priozerna. Early in the morning we already started the engine - it was time to collect the animals.

A young sheepdog became the first passenger. In the front-line zone, this boy joined the AFU soldiers, but they couldn't keep him for too long. Now he got away from the front. Three beautiful white puppies were placed next to him - unfortunately, they were left without their mother.

"

And that's before we even made it to the local zookeeper. Vlada is very cool! There was a gray-haired puppy and a trio of cats waiting for their ticket.

"

And that's where the mistake happened. We knew we were going to take out bulldogs. We had prepared a cage-sized cage, but it wasn't all that easy. One of the dogs is a boxer. It's about 30 kilograms. The second one was a bulldog, but an American (about 60-65 kilograms).

It was a good thing that the "bulldogs" had a friendly disposition. One rode in an undersized cage. The second dog sat next to Podturkin in the cabin. Yes, he told me the way.

"

Let's be honest, the dog is an excellent dispatcher. But when the car was shaking on potholes or corners, it was scary: what if that little dog breaks the steering wheel, or knocks something off with his paw? But we made it. It was interesting.

Passengers were taken to the next addresses:

  • cats and four puppies - the shelter "Home for Mongrels";
  • Shepherd dog and white boxer - near Borispol, shelter "Our home and protection";
  • American bulldog to a new Kyiv family.

We wish them to be happy. We did everything we could. Just like you.

Thank you, partners - Ksenia Berezna and Nova Ukraine, you're awesome!
